A Sedona elopement puts you among the most iconic red rock landscapes in America. Towering sandstone formations, sweeping vistas, and golden-hour light that makes the entire valley glow — Sedona has been called America's most beautiful elopement destination, and after one sunrise here, it's hard to disagree.
Best Sedona Elopement Venues
Yavapai Vista
Yavapai Vista offers a panoramic red rock overlook with Cathedral Rock visible in the distance. It's the most accessible of our Sedona venues and ideal for couples who want classic red rock ceremony photos without strenuous hiking.
Secret Slick Rock
Secret Slick Rock is a private red rock setting along Oak Creek with riverside ceremony space and dramatic rock formations. It offers more privacy than the more-visited overlooks and is especially photogenic in late afternoon light.
Crescent Moon Ranch
Crescent Moon Ranch gives you Cathedral Rock as your direct backdrop with manicured grassy ceremony space along the creek. It's our most-requested Sedona venue and books out 6+ months in advance for spring and fall weekends.
Baby Bell Rock
Baby Bell Rock is a smaller, more intimate red rock formation perfect for two-person ceremonies and small groups. The surrounding rock creates natural amphitheater acoustics and reverent quiet.
Best Time to Elope in Sedona
March through May is peak Sedona elopement season — 65–80°F, wildflowers, and crystal-clear skies. October and early November are equally beautiful with cottonwoods turning gold and fewer crowds. Summer is hot midday so ceremonies are best at sunrise or late afternoon. Winter offers cool weather and the occasional dusting of snow on red rocks for truly unique photos.
Arizona Marriage License (Yavapai County)
Apply at the Yavapai County Clerk of Superior Court (offices in Cottonwood or Camp Verde) for an $83 marriage license. Arizona has no waiting period and licenses are valid statewide for 12 months. Both partners must appear with valid photo ID and Social Security numbers. No blood test or witnesses required.
Sedona Elopement Cost
Sedona elopement packages are $1,875 at most red rock venues and $2,275 at Crescent Moon Ranch. Every package includes professional photography, a licensed Arizona officiant, ceremony coordination, all permits (Coconino National Forest fees included), and edited high-resolution images.
Beyond the Ceremony
Stay at L'Auberge de Sedona along Oak Creek, dine at Mariposa Latin Inspired Grill at sunset, take a Pink Jeep tour through the back roads, or hike the Cathedral Rock trail at sunrise. Many couples extend their Sedona elopement into a 3–5 day Arizona getaway including the Grand Canyon (2 hour drive north).
