The 'just parents' guest list is the most common scaling-up from a just-the-two-of-us elopement. Couples include it when one parent has been visibly supportive and another is uncertain, when a sibling has been a central friend, or when there's a recent family loss that makes everyone present feel especially meaningful. The right format for this guest count is not 'small wedding' (no full program, no seated reception) and not 'true elopement' (the couple alone). Do guests need to RSVP or have a formal seating chart?
No. With 4-10 guests, there's no need for formal RSVPs or assigned seating. Most couples just text their guests the venue address and arrival time. Elopements Inc.'s coordinator confirms the final headcount with you a week before the ceremony.
Can guests bring plus-ones?
Usually no — keeping the guest list tight to immediate family is the point of this format. Most couples handle this with a brief 'sorry, immediate family only' line if asked. The coordinator can help with the framing if you need it.
Is there time for a toast or speeches?
Yes — the Getaway Plus package's 1-hour window leaves room for a short toast after the ceremony if you want one. Most couples skip formal toasts and save them for the dinner that follows.
Where do guests go after the ceremony?
Elopements Inc. doesn't coordinate the post-ceremony dinner directly, but our coordinators provide a curated list of 3-5 restaurants near each venue with private dining rooms or large round tables that can accommodate 4-10 people. Many couples book ahead based on these recommendations.

The Getaway Plus package at $1,675-$1,975 covers up to 20 guests, 1-hour ceremony, 100-150 photos, and adds optional videography. The marriage license fee is separate ($66-$100 depending on state).
Yes, and it's the most common configuration. Most elopement-with-parents bookings include the couple plus both sets of parents (4 guests). Add a maid of honor and best man and the count is 6 — still within the Getaway package. Add a sibling and partner from each side and you're at 8-10, which is also within Getaway.
Optional. Some couples ask one or both parents to give a blessing, read a poem, or simply stand at the front during the vow exchange. Others have parents seated as honored guests with no formal role. The officiant works with you to build the program around whatever role you want parents to play.
Yes — grandparents are well within the 10-guest range. If both sets of grandparents + parents + the couple equals more than 10, the Getaway Plus package (up to 20 guests) accommodates the larger family.
