The marriage license fee is paid directly to the county at the time of application — not to Elopements Inc. Both partners must apply for the license in person at the county clerk's office; we cannot obtain the license on your behalf. Ceremonies are held on the lawn by the willow pond or in the ceremony pavilion, which is covered and open-air with a fireplace, and the property's mountain views are there for portraits after the ceremony, on private land with no other visitors. Tennessee's Sevier County has been the highest-volume marriage-license county in the United States for decades (driven by the no-waiting-period law and the national-park draw), and Willow Ridge emerged as the upscale answer to the older chapel-only model — a private ceremony without the parking, the tourists, or the National Park Service permit timeline.
